About Candidate
I am Ayokunle Azeez, an Applied Biochemist with over 10 years of progressive leadership and educational experience, coupled with a strong background in community engagement. My career has spanned multiple industries, including education, research, and environmental advocacy. I have worked in both formal and informal settings, consistently striving to create a positive impact on the communities I serve.
With a Master’s in Applied Biochemistry and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, I possess a unique blend of scientific expertise and educational leadership. Over the years, I have held key leadership roles in various capacities, managing teams as large as 60 members. One of my recent roles was as Fellow and Fellow Representative at Teach for Nigeria, where I led over 60 dedicated fellows to implement initiatives aimed at solving educational challenges through community-driven solutions. This earned me two recognitions for community impact and leadership from the organization. One of my most notable achievements was the “Waste to Achieve Learning Outcomes” (WALO) project, where we recycled waste materials to fund school repairs and decorations, thus integrating environmental sustainability into education.
In addition, I’ve worked as a Research Assistant, Field Agent, and Program Coordinator in various capacities. As a Research student at Functional Food and Nutraceuticals, I managed complex data analysis and assisted in various lab activities. At the Integrated Water and Environmental Resources Foundation, I worked as a Field Agent, contributing to clean water campaigns and data collection initiatives aimed at improving community access to water.
Currently, I am volunteering as the Programmes Coordinator at AIIDEV Africa, where I oversee the planning and execution of projects that promote sustainability and innovation across the continent. My work in this role has been recognized for making significant contributions to community development and educational leadership.
My skills include data analysis, program management, teaching, community mobilization, partnership building, mentorship, and IT support. I am highly skilled in fostering collaborations, a key element in my success as a leader. My aspiration is to continue driving impactful change, particularly in the areas of education, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development.
I am interested in opportunities and roles that involve mentoring young people, advocating for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and addressing grassroots educational and environmental challenges.
