About Candidate
Yua Henry is a Senior Lecturer of Banking and Finance at Mewar International University, Km 21 Abuja-Keffi Road, Nasarawa State-Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Finance and conduct research in Corporate Finance, Financial Intermediation, Development Finance, Financial Markets, Public Finance and International Finance. He is well published in reputable scientific journals.
As a lecturer, his teaching philosophy is to always develop a symbiotic relationship with my students, thus creating an environment that is conducive to learning as well as the building of confidence in both the intelligent and the slow in learning to express themselves, thereby activating positive output in them. At the same time, breaking down the course contents into a language that makes it attractive to all students as well as creates a desire in them for all my classes. In doing this, I relate what has been taught to real life situations in the private and public sectors of the economy. This has proven to be very effective. Hence, students always embrace courses taken by me as their favorites.

Work & Experience

i. I am the academic leader of the Faculty as well as responsible for effective leadership, management and development within the framework of the University’s mission and strategic direction. ii. I report to the Vice-Chancellor, and function as the Faculty’s leading representative in internal University and external business networking, and hold responsibility for developing the Faculty’s stakeholder relationships in a manner that lead to the successful development and progress of the Faculty. iii. I do work with members of the senior management team to develop and implement University policy and progress the University’s long term aims and objectives and play a key role in institutional strategic planning and decision-making.

Head of Banking and Finance is responsible for providing the strategic direction and development of the subject, leading, and managing staff, the effective, safe and efficient deployment of resources and securing and sustaining high quality teaching and learning in the subject, all leading to aspirational and successful outcomes for Students.

Director Linkages and Collaborations
Negotiate mutually beneficial collaborations on behalf of the Polytechnic with local and International educational and non-educational institutions. Also, draft MOUs for the institution in conjunction with the Polytechnic legal adviser.
Departmental Examinations Officer
Compute results of students in the department, also advice them on academic related matters.
Head of Final Account
Prepare annual reconciliation report of all revenue and expenditure of the local government. Check and recommend for payment of all payment vouchers in the local government. Carryout monthly bank reconciliation etc
