National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) (Jan 2023 – Nov 2023)

Covenant University Farms – Ota, Ogun state.

Utilizing interpersonal communication skills when engaging with customers.

Fully involved in all the farm activities i.e. crop production, irrigation, equipment maintenance, field work, and casual staff supervision.

Responding to customers’ calls to resolve problems such as wrong orders, payment, warranties, exchanges and refunds.

Help in preparation of work schedule for IT students and casual workers.

Keep accurate records of all farm activities, including: weather conditions, seed varieties, fertilizer applications, and pesticide use.

Assist in market survey, negotiation and procurement of farm equipment.

Involved in soil management operations such as identification of degraded and contaminated soils, and also helped in developing plans to improve soil characteristics.

Assisted in crop production operations, such as planning, land preparation, planting, fertilizing, cultivating, spraying of chemicals and harvesting of some crops.

Assisted in the feeding, maintenance and care of livestock, and poultry on site.

Followed policies and procedures to ensure personal safety, the safety of others and the safe operation of motorized farm equipment.

Assisted in Farmer’s Market Survey.

Worked with temporary and casual field laborers.
